Gonzalo Bernal and Sofía García were the winners of the 2025 Spanish Benjamin Pitch & Putt Championship held over two days at the Barbanza Golf course in A Coruña (Boiro, A Coruña), where the Cadet, Junior and Alevín Male and Female categories entered the competition this Friday.

In the men's division, the spotlight fell on Andalusian Gonzalo Bernal (-1), who, after posting a fine 53 (-1) on Thursday, finished with another even-par round to edge out Galician Mateo Rosende (+1) by just two strokes. Mateo Valiente and Arturo Vásquez, both at +2, shared third place. Vásquez carded the tournament's best round, a sensational 49.

In the women's competition, the star of the show was Sofía García from Murcia (+10), who secured her victory with a strong opening round of even par (54). On Friday, she carded a 64 to finish nine strokes ahead of Paula Casas from Castile and León (+19) and eleven ahead of Beatriz Seguín from Galicia (+21).

Also worth highlighting is the hole-in-one achieved on the second day by Nicolás Gómez from Cantabria on the 1st hole of Barbanza.

This fourteenth edition of the tournament has brought together golfers who, despite their young age, have already developed impressive sporting careers and are destined to make significant progress within Spanish golf. It has taken place on a course that previously hosted the event in 2021 and is considered one of the leading Pitch & Putt courses in the country.
