We continue to make improvements to the Rules of Golf app to make it as useful as possible and encourage all golfers to use it more often. Below are details of a feature added late last year and another that will be available in the coming weeks.

Sharing functionality – available now.

The app now makes it much easier for users to share relevant Rules of Golf information with friends, as there are sharing icons available on every page of the Player Rules Finder and at the top of each Rule and sub-Rule. 

If the recipient of the link has the Rules app on their device, the link will take them directly to the relevant page in the app, and if they do not have the app on their device, the link will take them to the relevant page on The R&A website.

The “Test of the Week” will be available soon.

A new update to the Rules of Golf app will be available for download in mid-February.

This update will include: 

. A new section of the App dedicated to Tests can be accessed through the Learn tab and can also be found through the Search tab. 

This new Test of the Week will include the following features: 

. A weekly themed questionnaire of 3 to 7 questions.

. The option to set a reminder to complete the weekly questionnaire.

. The ability to build your weekly streak, track your knowledge, and share your results with your friends.

At the end of each quiz, the user will be encouraged to learn more about the topic of the week by watching a related video or reading a related rule or section from the Player Rules Finder. 

. Review the previous weekly questionnaires and complete them again.

. The quiz of the week will initially be available in the following languages: German, Danish, Spanish, French, English, Japanese, Norwegian and Swedish.
