Twenty-five years ago, a Catalan couple, María José Pastor and Edmond Iniesta, embarked on a challenge that is every Spanish golfer's dream: to play every 18-hole course in the country. It has taken them a quarter of a century, but they have achieved it, and here they give us the details.

“We started playing golf at a Pitch & Putt course in Barcelona through some friends. We knew a couple who had had conflicts because one played and the other didn't, so we said, either we both play or neither of us does. And we both tried it and we loved it. That was twenty-five years ago,” Edmond says.

“Since we realized we were enjoying it, we started with the courses in Catalonia. We picked up a booklet of courses published by the Catalan Federation and got to work,” María José explains, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “And when we finished, we said to ourselves, ‘Okay, let’s tackle the courses in the Valencian Community.”” The next step was to look at each other and say, “Why don’t we do all the courses in Spain?” And that’s how their passion for discovering new golf courses spread across the peninsula.

Furthermore, María José and Edmond encourage all members to learn more Route 365, This is a promotional initiative created by the RFEG (Royal Spanish Golf Federation) and the Regional Golf Federations to support domestic golf tourism at courses throughout Spain. Golfers have access to all the offers, services, and/or special discounts that participating courses provide to federation members, which they can enjoy whenever they wish.
