After almost four years since the implementation of the current Rules of Golf, back on January 1, 2019, it is time for their review and update.

The Rules of Golf are subject to a cyclical review and update process every four years by the Rules Committee, together with the governing bodies of the R&A and the USGA, with the new Rules scheduled to come into effect on January 1, 2023.

The RFEG Rules Technical Committee is working this summer on the translation and updating of these new rules for their implementation on the scheduled date.

The translation and updating work for the new rules extends not only to the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf, but also to the online version in Spanish available on the R&A website, the Rules of Golf App and the Rules for Disabled Players, as well as all teaching aid material and associated documentation.
