Galician player Alberto Campos Villarino won the V National Pitch & Putt Qualifying Tournament – the last event of its kind valid for the 2007 National Ranking – after completing a round at par on the Valencian course of Masía de las Estrellas.
Alberto Campos Villarino repeated his victory from the IV Ranking Tournament, held two weeks ago at the Meaztegui course (Vizcaya), thanks to his 54 strokes. Unlike then, this time second place went to Andrés Pérez Ayllón from Córdoba, who, with a round of 57 strokes, challenged Alberto Campos Villarino's dominance. Furthermore, Juan Carlos Pérez Pérez and Óscar Sánchez Varela shared third place at the Levante course with scores of 58 strokes each.
After this last national qualifying event and once the remaining territorial events have concluded, the 2007 National Pitch & Putt Ranking will be compiled, from which the Spanish representatives for the International Matches against France in October and Portugal at the beginning of 2008 will be selected.
