The eighth cohort of the Golf and Pitch & Putt Initiation Monitor-Technician Course – Level I, which takes place at the National Center, has received the third of the five face-to-face weeks that its training includes.
The 24 students who previously passed the selection test have received subjects from the Specific Block under the general coordination of Enrique Martín, Director of the Training Department of the RFEG.
For this academic year, and in response to the needs arising from the pandemic, the National School of Sports Technicians has launched a Training Platform that supports all the materials and resources necessary to deliver the course in the safest possible way. It is worth noting that in this eighth edition, the online component is more extensive than in previous years.
Another new feature of this edition is that, taking a further step in the work of updating content, the syllabus has been enriched with the technical and methodological material implemented by the prestigious Leadbetter Academy, with which the RFEG Training Department reached a valuable agreement in July 2020.
This course has among its main objectives to energize and specify the sessions to direct instruction in the sports initiation of Golf and Pitch & Putt, assess the technical execution and detect deviations in the learning of the fundamentals of the long game and short game in the sports initiation.
It also focuses on identifying the basic characteristics of the functioning of a Nursery School, as well as the fundamental elements of the programming of activities oriented to learning at this stage.
Other objectives focus on accompanying and guiding athletes during their participation in activities, competitions and events at this level, collaborating in the organization and technical development of competitions in this modality, identifying the operational tasks of a golf school, and collaborating in the tasks specific to the business areas of a golf facility.
