The collaboration agreement reached by the RFEG and Golfzon Leadbetter University will serve to "enhance the content already offered in the Sports Technician Courses," as stated by Enrique Martín, Director of Training and of the National School of Sports Technicians of the RFEG.

In a comprehensive interview available on the RFEG YouTube Channel, Enrique Martín emphasizes that this is an agreement that the Training Department had been pursuing for some time based on its excellent relationship with David Leadbetter and his staff "for the development of content and resources that will later be applied in the Sports Technician Courses.".

“It’s great to have a reference point like Leadbetter, given their extensive experience, track record, and everything they’re developing and building to advance the teaching sector. For the RFEG, it’s very important to have their help and enthusiasm in developing this material, which will support and serve as a reference for our courses, at Level I, Level II, and Level III,” he explains.

Enrique Martín adds that the Sports Technician Courses "cover all the most important teaching references worldwide. In this case, the number one in terms of history, track record, and how they are growing with their alliance with GOLFZON in materials and technology applied to golf instruction, is Leadbetter," he adds.

In summary, as Enrique Martín explains, “it was important to apply all his knowledge to our courses; it will undoubtedly enhance the content that we have been providing for years in our Sports Technician courses.”.

David Leadbetter's interest in Spanish golf was key to reaching this agreement.

Enrique Martín also highlights and positively values David Leadbetter's interest in partnering with the RFEG. “We were very pleasantly surprised by his interest in working together with us. Spanish golf is very interesting to him because of our successes, the way the RFEG works with the National Teams, and the training provided in the Sports Technician Courses. That was the catalyst that facilitated this agreement,” he explains.

It's worth noting that in recent years, Leadbetter Golf Academy (LGA) has implemented numerous new projects that enable coaches worldwide to enhance their training. Leadbetter Golf Academy, the first online platform to offer comprehensive golf education, provides improved training in every aspect, in addition to the renowned "LGA Certified" instruction.

The University's platform is developed by industry experts to provide established instructors with additional support and to facilitate future Technicians in obtaining the relevant certification.

The RFEG has a structured training plan with three levels to obtain the title of High Performance Coach-Technician, ensuring the personal and professional growth of the teachers, allowing them to become the best teachers in the sector.

The RFEG launched a plan more than a decade ago to professionalize the golf industry, supported by three fundamental pillars: golf facility managers, greenkeepers, and teaching technicians.

In this regard, the RFEG has developed initiatives to improve the training of these groups. Regarding coaches, the Training Program and the qualification awarded by the RFEG has received the highest recognition from the European Professional Golfers' Confederation, placing it among the best in the world.
