The TVE news program on Sunday, May 10, in its 9:00 p.m. edition, reported on the reopening of golf courses, which took place on Monday, May 11, in those facilities located within the territorial areas designated as Phase 1 within the de-escalation process designed by the Government of Spain.

The piece begins with a multi-call featuring many of Spain's top professional golfers - Carlota Ciganda, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Azahara Muñoz, Nacho Elvira, Jorge Campillo, Adrián Otaegui - who welcome all members with a resounding "See you very soon on the golf courses!"

The review of the mandatory safety measures established by the Ministry of Health, related to the before, during and after the round of play, gives way to a few words from Gonzaga Escauriaza, President of the RFEG, who assures that "the physical and mental health of all the federated members is in good shape and also the image of Spain abroad, which I hope will help, and greatly, to the recovery of tourism and the economy.".

The information also describes the contribution of this sport to Spanish society as a whole: 270,000 registered members, almost one and a half million foreign tourists who come to our country motivated by golf; some 2.5 billion euros annually and more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs generated each year.
