The Law Regulating Golf Courses in the Valencian Community is structured in five titles, six transitional provisions and two final provisions.
The preliminary title establishes the purpose and scope of the law and defines the concept of a golf course, as well as complementary and compatible uses. Any other actions aimed at residential, industrial, or commercial development are excluded from this law and must follow the procedures and comply with the requirements established in the applicable territorial, urban planning, environmental, and sectoral legislation.
This responds to the growing social demand for this type of sports facility, while distinguishing it from others with which it is often linked.
