The Cantabrian Golf Federation has promoted the VI Training Day for Golf Technicians of this Autonomous Community.

The presentation, entitled "Proven Experience in the Application of the New Rules of Golf", was given by the President of the RFEG Rules Committee, Pablo Chaves, and Carmelo Castillo, member of the RFEG Rules Committee.

The exhibition consisted of two parts, the first aimed at Golf Professionals, both in their competitive and teaching aspects, and the second at the Competition Committees of Clubs and Courses.

Attendees were able to receive firsthand the experience accumulated after almost a year of applying the 2019 Rules of Golf and how it has affected the development of competitions, all reflected in a manual called "The Committee Procedures".

This event is part of the "Ready for 2019" training project undertaken by the RFEG Rules Committee on the occasion of the entry into force of the 2019 Rules of Golf, which has the collaboration of the different Autonomous Federations.

The six training days are part of the determined commitment of the Cantabrian Golf Federation, in combination with the Training Department of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, to improve the knowledge and teaching skills of Cantabrian coaches.

This initiative has been in operation since 2012 and has included four training days in psychology applied to teaching, which were given by Óscar del Río, sports psychologist, in charge of the psychological direction of the courses and teams of the RFEG, and one training day that was given by Enrique Martin, director of training of the RFEG, assisted by Francisco Parrón, technical coordinator of the RFEG Center of Excellence.
