Ion García Avis from Navarre, in the men's category, and Lucía Cortezo from the Canary Islands, in the women's category, have won the Spanish University Championship that concluded at the Antequera Golf course, in the province of Malaga.

Ion García Avis, from the Public University of Navarra, extended his one-stroke lead over Ignacio Valverde and Fernando Pérez-Bryan. His final round of 72 strokes allowed him to win comfortably by six strokes over his closest rivals.

Lucía Cortezo, who was competing just two weeks after winning the Spanish Women's Individual Pitch & Putt Championship, won the event decisively. Only Lucía Mar from Madrid threatened her victory, but ultimately succumbed to the Canary Islander.

Thus, Ion García Avis retains the title he won in the previous edition, held in El Olivar de la Hinojosa, Madrid. Lucía Cortezo, for her part, takes over from Lucía Mar herself, who won comfortably in the women's category.

In the team competition, the victory went to the Complutense University of Madrid, whose representatives—Santiago Seijo and Lucía Mar—accumulated a total of 480 strokes. Second place went to the Public University of Navarre, and third to the University of Las Palmas.
