This weekend, October 5th and 6th, the last competition valid for the 2019 National Pitch & Putt Ranking takes place, the Lizaso Golf (Navarra) qualifying event, which hosts more than fifty golfers.
Not missing the event are Jaime Herrera from Cantabria (exact handicap -1.1), José María Ortiz de Pinedo from Valladolid (-0.7), Juan Pedro Monjo from Madrid (1.2), Bernabé González from the Canary Islands (1.5) - all of them representatives of the large list of regulars in this specialty of golf - or Asier Aguirre from Navarre (-4), a young player with experience in the National Teams.
Also on the list of participants are Laura Batista (10), champion of the 2019 Spanish Senior International, and Pedro Rodríguez (5.7), runner-up this year in the San Marino Open. Both have the opportunity to conclude an excellent season this week in Navarre.
Sixth event of the National Ranking
The 2019 National Pitch & Putt Ranking consists of six events: the Spanish Men's and Women's Championships and four National Ranking Tournaments. The Spanish Women's Championship was held at Colmenar Golf in March, with a victory for the young player from Castile and León, Cristina Carlón, while the Men's Championship took place in May at Las Palmeras Golf, with Carlos Vega emerging victorious.
The three National Ranking tournaments prior to this one at Lizaso Golf were held in Oyambre (March 30-31, with a victory for Raúl Toca), Sotoverde (April 27-38, with a victory for Fernando Cabezudo) and Riocabe (July 27-28, victory for José María Ortiz de Pinedo).
