Mission accomplished for Carla Bernat: she has won for the first time in her career on the Epson Tour, the LPGA satellite circuit where she is in her first season. The golfer from Castellón secured the victory in the eventful Guardian Championship, whose conclusion was postponed to Monday due to inclement weather in Alabama, with a total of sixteen strokes under par at RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill.

The curtain fell on Sunday with Carla Bernat in the lead and fifteen holes to play. Her advantage over her pursuers was slim, forcing her to raise her game even further to secure a medal. And she did just that: in her first six holes after the restart, she carded three birdies and an eagle to consolidate her lead.

Behind her, China's Michelle Zhang was attacking, but she couldn't catch the Spaniard because the latter never gave up, as evidenced by the fact that she didn't make a single bogey in those last 18 holes. At the end of the day, not a single mistake in a scorecard to frame (64, -8).

This result boosts Carla Bernat's ranking on the circuit, where she was ninth at the start of the tournament. Up to this point, her statistics were almost perfect: fourteen cuts in fifteen events and four Top 10 finishes.

Good week for Javier Barcos, Joseba Torres, and Sergio García

In a week of professional golf marked by the European victory in the Solheim Cup, several Spanish golfers have achieved excellent results on their respective circuits, starting with Pro Spain players Javier Barcos and Joseba Torres, who shared fourth place in the English Trophy of the HotelPlanner Tour.

Both players finished the week at -18, three strokes behind the Dane Frederik Kjettrup, the tournament winner.

Equally commendable was Sergio García's fourteenth place (-6) in the Amgen Irish Open. His 64 in the final round allowed him to jump twenty-one places in a leaderboard dominated by Shane Lowry (-23). It was also a good week for Rafael Cabrera and Jon Rahm (-4), who was aiming for his third title in Ireland.

Finally, Miguel Ángel Jiménez has finished his time at the Sanford International, of the Champions Tour.

García Broto, third in the Alps Tour

A good week for Víctor García Broto at the Hauts de France Pas de Calais Golf Open, part of the Alps Tour. At the classic Golf Saint Omer course, the Spaniard finished third with a total of -6, three strokes behind local player Alexandre Vandermoten.

This tournament has had a women's side, valid for the LET Access Series, in which Elena Melich (+3) has been the only Spaniard in the cut.
