Ramón Luengo (2/1) first, and then Franki Lamas (1up) and Iván San Félix (3/2) turned the match around.

As for the tournament final, the victory went to the home team, France, after defeating Belgium by a clear 4-1.

Behind the two finalists were Denmark, England, Scotland, Ireland, Finland and Sweden.

9th-12th PLACE: Clear defeat against Norway

Spain was unable to extend the good momentum with which it started the Match Play phase and fell in the fourth day of play against Norway by 4-1 in the Flight B semi-finals. This result left the Spanish team out of the fight for ninth place.

The match against Norway started off on the uphill battle for Spain. In the foursomes match, José Francisco Lamas and Miguel Ángel Bonet were unable to overcome Martin Storen and Svein Teije Eide, who took the first point of the tie 2-1. The situation didn't improve with the start of the singles matches. Iván San Félix lost to Freddie Andrey 2-1, while Ramón Luengo fell to Joachim Aslaksen 4-3. These two defeats put the score at 3-0 and mathematically secured Norway's victory.

9th-16th PLACE: Spain rediscovered their best form against the Netherlands

The Spanish team regained their confidence on Thursday, convincingly defeating the Netherlands 4-1 in their opening match. This victory allowed Spain to put behind them the disappointment of the Stroke Play phase, where they failed to qualify for the top eight and thus missed out on the title.

The Spanish team displayed a much more solid performance this time and took control of the tie from the very first match. José Francisco Lamas and Miguel Ángel Bonet paved the way with a convincing 3-1 victory in the foursome against Marcel Roelofsma and Marcel Wust.

Spain's positive momentum continued in the singles matches. Iván San Félix defeated Rob Van den Berg 3-2, while Ramón Luengo did the same against Michiel Franken with a resounding 4-3 victory, results that mathematically secured the Spanish team's win.
