Cupp (-13 overall) had a sensational week, broken down into rounds of 70, 67, 65, and 69. He had a slim chance of victory in the final round, but that hope vanished with the extraordinary performances of George Whitehead and Mathias Aase; both carded 64s in their final rounds to finish with an unreachable -20.
Also noteworthy is the performance of two other Spaniards in the Top 10: José Antonio Salas (-11) and Luis del Rosal (-10), both from Blumberlo, who carded 67s to climb the leaderboard. Javier Pérez-Tasso (-8), Mateo Hidalgo (-8), Aitor Medina (-7), and Bruno Quinto (-7) also finished in the top twenty.
Miguel Fuertes, also a protagonist this week
This tournament, which counts towards the World Ranking and the National Under-18 Ranking, saw Miguel Fuertes from Valencia take center stage with an exceptional round of 64 strokes (-7). In subsequent rounds, Fuertes slipped a bit, ultimately finishing in 26th place with a total of -4.
On the second day, Luis del Rosal and Mateo Hidalgo joined the top group, while on the third day the local weight fell on Francisco Cupp, who delivered a magnificent card of 65 strokes (-6) to maintain title options.
