Ontinyent Golf Club

The Golf Club was founded on October 16, 1991, as stated in the founding document of the Sports Club granted by Mr. Rafael Pla Micó and others, before the notary of Ontinyent, Mr. Roberto Tortosa Albert.
Throughout its history, the Ontinyent Golf Club has grown in membership and has set itself the goal of having its own golf course in the city.
Currently the club has an agreement with the Foressos Golf Club in Picassent, a 35-minute drive from Ontinyent, obtained by the then president Mr. Rafael Pastor and Mr. Gonzalo Oviedo, as well as the rest of the members of the Board of Directors, which allows members to practice golf more easily.
Elections were held on July 28, 2014. The new board of directors, headed by Mr. Antonio Pomar Montahud, has set as its objective the relaunch of the club with a project based on communication, competition, cohesion, and the social aspect of the club.
The new board of directors takes the reins from the previous board with renewed enthusiasm to bring golf even closer to the city of Ontinyent and with the firm intention of making golf a more widely known sport and increasing its popularity.
